The programme on media and security in Colombia seeks to strengthen the role of media practitioners and social leaders as oversight actors of public authorities, including the security sector, through the promotion of the rights to freedom of expression and access to information, and by articulating a relationship of mutual understanding between journalists and members of the National Police in tense scenarios such as social protest.

Financed by the Federal Republic of Germany and entrusted to DCAF, the implementation of this programme brings together the efforts from the National Police of Colombia, the Foundation for Press Freedom (FLIP), La Escuela Digital (LED) and DCAF.
