In Serbia, the Protector of Citizens (Ombudsperson) consulted youth during the drafting of Serbia's National Child Protection Policy.
By consulting its Young Advisors Panel, the Protector ensured that Serbia's National Child Protection Policy was drafted in an inclusive and representative manner. Further, knowledge gained during consultations with this Young Advisors Panel allowed the Protector to better tailor its child protection services, for example with respect to how the work of law enforcement is overseen as it relates to violence against children.
