RESDAL analyses the relationship between defence budgets and GDP in Latin America to improve transparency around decision-making practices

In Latin America and the Caribbean, the Security and Defence Network of Latin America (based in Argentina and Uruguay) published a manual on the relationship between defence budgets and GDP in Latin America.

Through a project underway since 2000, the Network seeks to reveal the decision-making practices used in the development of defence budgets, to evaluate their transparency, and to offer informative tools for those interested in this topic.
