Spotlight reports, also referred to as shadow reports or parallel reports, play a valuable role in international monitoring processes. They may offer insights from diverse voices with multi-sectoral experience, and a focus on gender. The dialogue generated by these reports is important to advancing progress on the 2030 Agenda, and collectively achieving its goals.
