Commission on Human Rights establishes Center for Crisis, Conflict, and Humanitarian Protection in the Philippines

In the Philippines, the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) established the Center for Crisis, Conflict, and Humanitarian Protection in 2016, to provide redress to those affected by hostilities and prevent future abuses.

The purpose of the Center is to promote and advocate for the respect of international humanitarian law, conduct independent investigations on human rights violations, ensure accountability, and offer context-specific policy recommendations aimed at avoiding future violations.
