Towards gender-responsive border management

This event is over. Watch the recording below or on our YouTube channel.

The recording is available in French: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vTOQQWR1b8Q&t=1s

Join us for an online discussion on persisting challenges and positive practices for the integration of a gender perspective in policy and programming related to border management.

Stereotypes and assumptions about the different roles, responsibilities, needs, capacities and agency of different groups of women, girls, men and boys have a profound influence on the work of border officers. Integrating a gender perspective into the work of state institutions responsible for border management can therefore have a significant impact on the ability of border officers to recognize and respond to the different needs and vulnerabilities of various groups of women, men, boys and girls.
