Data and findings from the Measuring Opportunities for Women in Peace Operations (MOWIP) methodology identify gender roles and social exclusion as consistent barriers to women’s mean-ingful participation and an impediment to mission effectiveness in peace operations.

This policy brief highlights the changes in leadership, policy and practice that will be needed to counter these barriers and strengthen inclusive and fit-for-purpose organizational cultures.
