This book explores the roles and responsibilities of state actors in cyberspace.
The authors detail the diverse implications of accountability, and suggest how governments can better address cyber related issues.
The first chapter looks into parliamentary oversight of cybersecurity policies, in which Nele Achten conducts a comparative analysis of practices in Germany, Switzerland and the UK. Luka Glusac then examines Ombuds Institutions and oversight of cybersecurity in the Western Balkans. Rebecca Mikova discusses accountability for cyber attacks and Teodora Fuior reflects on challenges in cybersecurity in relation to members of parliament. Finally, Megi Reci and Sara Kelmendi investigate the role of civil society in ensuring accountability in cybersecurity in Albania.
