Programme Manager, Southeast Europe Division

Marc Remillard is currently a Program Manager in the Operations Department at DCAF. His main focus is security and intelligence sector governance and accountability. He is presently responsible for managing a comprehensive and multi donor-funded intelligence sector reform program in support of the Republic of Macedonia. Before joining DCAF in 2001, Marc was a Senior Politico-Military Advisor at the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina, seconded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. At the OSCE he provided policy advice and developed programing on security sector oversight and on reintegration and retraining of demobilized military personnel. Prior to that, Marc spent a year at the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly as a Research Fellow.

Before attending university he spent three years in the United States Army as a Forward Observer, serving in the 2nd Infantry Division in the Republic of Korea and in the 101st Airborne (Air Assault) Division at Fort Campbell Kentucky. He is born and raised in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Marc holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Master's degree in Public Administration from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in the United States of America.
