April 19, 2021 will mark the second anniversary of the death of General Lamine Cissé, a personality renowned both in West Africa and internationally for his commitment and the great scope of the actions accomplished in the framework of his successive missions and functions in the service of peace and security, particularly in Senegal and elsewhere in Africa. To honor his memory, report on the exemplary nature of his career and disseminate his thoughts, Partners West Africa - Senegal and DCAF organize on April 16, 2021 a day of tribute and reflection on the work and values of General Lamine Cissé that influenced political and military leaders and served as a source of inspiration to patricians and researchers involved in security sector governance, conflict management and resolution and the protection of populations. |
In order to respect the health measures, this day will take the form of a remote forum offering the public an opportunity to follow the debates and events by videoconference. This day, organized in collaboration with the Senegalese Ministry of the Armed Forces and with the support of the DCAF will be organized around three main components:
