In Montenegro, with the Ministry of Public Administration, DCAF presented the results framework of its cybersecurity capacity-building support, showcasing key achievements delivered over the past two years and their contribution to national strategic priorities. The results demonstrated measurable progress in strengthening cybersecurity legislation and policies, developing professional skills, and enhancing the integration of National Critical Information Infrastructure stakeholders. It supports Montenegro’s implementation of the EU Reform Agenda.

Earlier this month, The Annual Meeting of Representatives of Defence and Security Committees from South East Europe Parliaments was held in Zagreb. It was a valuable opportunity to exchange experiences and good practices in parliamentary oversight of the defence and security sector, while addressing current security challenges. DCAF has long supported regional parliamentary dialogue in South East Europe, which now stands as a region with highly developed normative and institutional frameworks for democratic governance.

DCAF Director, Ambassador Nathalie Chuard, was honoured to meet with H.E. President of the Republic of Lebanon, Mr. Joseph Aoun. She expressed DCAF’s continued support to the Lebanese people and highlighted the organization’s ongoing cooperation, especially with Lebanese security institutions. The President reiterated his support for our programme in Lebanon and encouraged the continuation of ongoing efforts in support of the country’s institutions. We extend our sincere appreciation to the President and his team for the constructive exchange.

DCAF participated in the Geneva Peace Forum Meets Vienna event organized by the Geneva Peacebuilding Platform in Vienna. Together with the GICHD, we co-hosted a thematic session on “From risk to resilience: linking mine action, security sector governance and food security in Ukraine.” This panel addressed the reality that the war in Ukraine is a crisis that threatens global food systems and human security.

We successfully concluded the high-level conference on intelligence and security sector reforms in the Republic of North Macedonia. Key stakeholders, including judges, public prosecutors, institutional leaders and international partners, came together to discuss systemic challenges, institutional coordination and the impact of modern technologies on investigative tools. The conference also saw the official launch of the publication "Analysis of the Application of Special Investigative Measures in the Republic of North Macedonia".
