DCAF works with governments, parliaments, security providers and civil society organisations in Southeast Europe (SEE) to help ensure the efficient, effective, responsible and accountable provision of security, and to strengthen democratic security sector governance. The SEE region has been the focus of DCAF’s engagement since the Centre’s establishment. DCAF’s Strategy Paper 2016 – 2019 calls for the Centre to continue its significant support to the region in the future. To improve delivery of DCAF’s services and enhance its dialogue with the region, the Centre maintains a regional office in Ljubljana.
