Around the world, security functions traditionally provided by the state are increasingly undertaken by the private sector. However, security sector governance and reform processes commonly reflect a state-centric approach to security provision, management and oversight. DCAF's Business and Security Division works with business, governments and communities to improve security, sustainable development and respect for human rights.

Our Programmes

DCAF’s Public-Private Partnerships Division supports multi-stakeholder partnerships between states, parliaments, international organisations, civil society and the private sector that promote security, development and the respect for human rights.
