Programme Manager, Public-Private Partnerships Division
Nelleke van Amstel is a Programme Manager in the Public-Private Partnerships Division and is mainly responsible for conceptual and practical support to the Swiss Department of Foreign Affairs to support the International Code of Conduct for Private Security Service Providers (the ICoC).
Prior to joining DCAF, Nelleke worked for the Netherlands Red Cross as a legal advisor on International Humanitarian Law, and as a trainee at the ICRC Unit for Relations with Arms Carriers. Before that, she was an intern and research assistant for Geneva Call on the topic of legal obligations for armed non-state actors.
Nelleke holds an LL.M. in from the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights and an LL.M in International and European law from Groningen University.
